NIV, Quest Study Bible, Comfort Print: The Only Q and A Study Bible

Good overall study Bible

My first study Bible was a Quest 25 years ago or so. I still like this one for gifting, because the commentary notes aren't only from one guy's take on the Scriptures. Also the Quest's NIV translation, which though not a formal, word for word translation, but instead a dynamic type of (or thought for thought) translation, is the closest to a formal translation amongst the dynamic types in my opinion. Easier to read for beginners, and very widely used by longtime Christians as well. The Leathersoft brown with a cross, cover is what most guys prefer. And the Leathersoft Turquoise, with a flower, cover is the one the gals mostly choose. These Leathersoft variety covers have a great feel, and well, I hope they hold up better than the older Bonded leather cover types did.

The books are perfect for my four children’s birthday gifts. One has received his birthday gift and he said, ‘Thanks this is a wonderful study Bible. I will use it daily! l loveit!’

I received this book but it’s not how I thought it would be. The print is too small and the paper is too thin.
