Wear these daily 14-16 hrs for control of edema and varicose veins. This is the compression level I need to control these conditions, and they actually make my legs feel 30 years younger. These do not have latex in them so to get the maximum life out of these compressive stockings, read the care instructions and hand wash in Woolite/Dreft after each wear to protect the yarns elasticity. Don't twist or wring these during washing, rinse thoroughly, lay flat on towel to dry. After 2 washings I found no difference in the fit, and care must be exercised to pull these on by the hose, do not pull on the top silicone beaded band, and check your fingernails at the door. So far I have no complaints, and hope to attain 6 mons or more of wear before replacement. So durability is yet to be determined, but these are microfiber so they're very comfortable to wear, and once you get the application down these are not that difficult to get on. Your legs will thank you.
