I ordered this pair of cups along with the Bai Ci White Jade Gaiwan and couldn't be more pleased. Although more expensive than many other cups, the luscious, matte finish and translucent look of the porcelain make drinking from them a real treat. The cups also have numerous vertical ridges around the base making them easy to pick up and hold. They do tend to take on stains a little more readily than cups with a glossy finish, but in my opinion that is a small price to pay for the pleasure of how they feel in my hand. The gift box they come in is not particularly fussy or ornate, but it is very well padded and its simplicity pairs well with the elegance of the cups themselves.
