Left a waxy residue I couldn't wash out

I love Ecoslay products. Orange Marmalade and Rice Pudding are my holy grail. But this hair wash was a total disaster. There was no lather at all and it coated my hair in a waxy soapy residue that no amount of washing would get rid of. I ended up having to clarify and start again.
