Crisp and Clean

Definitely the most expensive unit in my set-up. But it has elevated everything running through it. I do not DJ, and the only reason I went for DJ mixers in the first place was 1: I needed a phono preamp and 2: I needed an equaliser. High-end audio gear do not have good equalisers. You are lucky to get treble and bass control. I NEED MID. This beast has a 4 band equaliser! More control over my mids then I ever had. But the sound quality? Crisp and clean. Listening to my records in a new light. These phono pre amps do not disappoint. I get 4 separate inputs for my two turn tables, one for my digital, and even one just for my cassette. But the Sound card. Wow. Running digital straight to the mixer sounds amazing. And I can even record off it. And I have been able to rig up to a new MilkDrop 3, so now all my analog music gets this amazing backdrop of colours to go with it. Brings me back to the good old days with Winamp. Messing around with the crunch setting has also been a lot of fun, feels like a guitar amp with the overdrive, and you can even run an effects pedal loop! Also, having a separate EQ for the booth out makes getting that sound perfect, even easier. Three thumbs up!

Best mixer ever

The filters are very playable and fun. Digital flexibility is tremendous, I can jam 6 stereo DAW channels into the Xone and mix & tweak each channel with 4-band EQ, crunchy or smooth filters, and sweepable mids on the aux channels. Now I need a delay/reverb unit for the aux bus! Too much fun. This mixer is excellent for long evolving techno and house DJ mixes, but also fantastic as a mini mixing desk for producing any sound. Recommended!
