Boyce Replica Upscale Estes ET/SRB Parts Kit for Space Shuttle BT-101

Amazing level of detail for this STS project!

I have two Estes flying foam shuttles with the internal engine pod that launches, ejects then glides back. It sort of works but you have to get the balance and wind conditions just right. But it does not really convey spirit of the shuttle. Again, after visiting the Boyce website, I discover they have these sets of 3D parts to fit a BT-101 and ST-18 airframes for the main booster tank. You supply the internals and some engineering and fabrication. After some reading of Rockets of World and the Late George Gassaway website I read his shuttle pages. IMHO this will allow you to grasp what is required for this level of project. I'm looking for this as my summer project (after I complete my Sat V fin can conversion first). I was pleasantly surprised to receive several pages of a build guide with hand notes, combined with georgesrocket web site I feel more confident I can complete and launch this historical masterpiece and challenge. A++ detail and 3D printing as always.

All of the Shuttle parts worked very well with the scratch build of the main tank for my Space Shuttle. I highly recommend these or any other 3D printed parts you may need from Boyce Aerospace Hobbies.

I did not read the fine print. The kit is larger than anticpated. When the said reproduction parts, I thought it would be for the Estes shuttle 1284 boy was I wrong. I do plan on building a kit with the bigger parts.
