This is serious griddle that works great but definitely not something you breakout for Sunday breakfast and then put away for the week. Really designed for permanent installations. If that’s what you’re looking for this would do the trick. If not you might want to shop around and see if you can find something a little lighter and more portable.

More than I expected

This griddle was more than I expected. I was tired of purchasing a new griddle every 4-5 years. It appears I’ve purchased my last. It is heavy duty. I enjoy cooking on it. Grill cheese sandwiches, my unbreaded pork chops and much more turns out perfect.

Uneven heat

This thing is a beast and will take up some serious counter real estate. Our first few times using it we were disappointed as it takes forever to heat up and there's a definite hot spot in the middle back. The more we use it, the more we like it. Build quality is good. Only 4 stars as I was really hoping for even heat distribution on the whole cooking surface. Not sure if this is intentional in the design like the hibachi griddles that have a hot spot but it makes cooking some things a challenge, like a bunch of pancakes for example. Not sure if I would buy again. Can't someone make an evenly heated surface?
