Metal Collecting Plate - X8

Have cleaned the unit and replaced the collecting plate but still can't run the machine because it sounds like an industrial sized bug zapper. the smaller units don't do this . Regretting this very expensive purchase.

Clean in the dishwasher!!

Why didn't I know about this before? Stick the plate in the top rack and let the dishwasher clean and dry like magic. Yay.
