This bottom up shawl uses self-striping yarn to great effect. Knit a stocking stitch triangle for the main body, then pick up stitches around the edges to form the garter stitch border. This all creates a colourful, lightweight, yet warm garment. The sample was knit in Cascade Souk (now discontinued). A substitute yarn is shown below.
