Gravitas Monster #8 Steel Nib Broad

Thank you to Pen Venture for expediting this nib to me in a timely fashion. As I have the Gravitas Monster with a #8 Steel Medium nib i wanted to try their Broad nib as I prefer broad nibs that lay a good line and are wet and juicy. In comparison to the Leonardo Dodici, Vulcanica with the La Fenice #8 14kt Broad, the Dodici #8 14kt Broad is a bit wider than the Gravitas #8 Steel Broad and juicier. I may attempt to get more flow with a wider line on the #8 steel broad nib but hesitant to do so in fear of spreading the tines to far and damaging the nib. Overall, a great feature of Gravitas nibs is their ease of swapping to a preferred nib size. The rating is primarily due to the expectation that this steel broad nib would be similar to some of my gold broad nibs in performance, which it isn't, not a reflection on Pen Venture's service.

Great #8 size nibs

I love this nibs in Gravitas Monster fountain pen. The fact that pen has capabilities to interchange different nibs and nibs themselves are so smooth and comfortable makes me use the pen and nib every day. I highly recommend Monster pen and set of these nibs.
