I am very happy with the book which arrived promptly, the presentation South Africa in the 1960s.s
I am very happy with the book which arrived promptly, the presentation and content were excellent and I was impressed by the obvious research the author had done to present a factual review of motor racing in South Africa in the 1960s.

Fills a Big Gap in Grand Prix History
Robert Young has filled a big gap in the history of Grand Prix cars. Thanks to the ingenuity and drive of some committed and ambitious individuals, South Africa had a thriving domestic Formula Libre and, later, Formula One scene. The book brings to life the fascinating people and cars that were built there, often with very limited resources, and which punched well above their weight against the products of established European makes and against international competition. A great read, highly recommended.

Truly fascinating and incredibly informative
For many decades I have had an interest in post-WW2 “home built race car specials” in Southern Africa and Rob Young has now produced this magnificent book that takes us back to those halcyon days, it is firstly a fascinating read and then most importantly a reference work and I could not recommend it more, not least as thankfully many of these cars survive today!
