Getting Started with Willow Course and Kit

The kit is fantastic and the instruction videos were super helpful! I was frustrated with the snapping of the willow along the way, especially with the tray, which required more flexibility. I followed the soaking directions for the star and then soaked even longer for the tray but still had snapping issues. It could fully be my experience and environment but I was not able to get the willow to be flexible enough.

This was a great way to learn about weaving with willow. I’ve made other baskets before, but this did a great job on teaching me a new skill

I very much enjoyed this experience. I'll try the simple basket next! I would love if there were more instruction about actually handling the willow: what I'm supposed to do to keep it from breaking (my biggest issue - is this just that I need practice or is there something wrong) or if sometimes it kinks when you weave a thing and that's ok. Maybe some close pictures to show what's normal?
