Super happy shipping was quick even though I’m in Canada. Was reached out to personally to make sure if I had any issues to let him know immediately. Product is as expected as it’s the second one I’ve ordered. Very very pleased and excited to get out there and fish with it. Had some great success with the previous one but wanted a different color. 10 out of 10 .

Like all the great movies, casting is the key...

My first few attempts at casting with the Cabuya were absolutely comical - I can see why they included the practice casting ball. Now, with not that much practice, I'm really starting to get the hang of it. I added a split shot about 12 inches above the practice ball and I can get 30 to 40 foot casts fairly consistently and this is with about 1 to 1.5 hours of total practice time. However, I think one of the biggest advantages of the Cabuya hand caster is in it's ability to reel in the bigger fish. I have watched many users of the more traditional "Hobo style hand casters" struggle to keep everything in its right place ( especially the fishing line ) when all their attention is focused on landing that big one. It was this one small reeling detail that drew me to the Cabuya, I just think it's a more sensible system. But all of this is just theoretical conjecture until I can land that 30 pound Northern Pike and substantiate my theories. Wish me luck... PS. I think I'll have to upgrade the included fishing line ;^) PPS. If I catch anything over 15 lbs I'll send you a picture. Later, Rob
