ESU 50220 ECoS (6A) Powerful, Precise, and Excellent for Sound Control

The ESU 50220 ECoS 6A is an outstanding DCC command station. The touchscreen is clear and quite responsive, output is strong, and running multiple locomotives is smooth and effortless. Sound and function control are excellent, making every session enjoyable. From my collection: my Bachmann Class 37s with Zimo sound decoders need to be entered manually, but once set up, they run and sound perfectly. Every loco with ESU LokSound or Accurascale locos is recognised instantly, demonstrating the system’s speed and reliability. It seems ESU optimises detection for their own decoders, but third-party decoders work flawlessly once manually configured which is time consuming.Overall, the ECoS 6A is a professional, powerful, and versatile system. Very expensive but highly recommended for both sound enthusiasts and serious DCC uses. Loses a star for not automatically loading in all third party decoders and its price.

Totally brilliant, so easy to use and so many features. I love the layout map with point control, you can see which is turn out or straight. No need to go for another point control system. Everything you need is there to see and select. Well worth the cost and if you think about it it's more economical than a controller and a separate point control.

Still getting used to it but feels like it will be easy to use when you get used to it, could do with some extra sound symbols for UK, would be good as well if Accurascale provided some photos of their locos in correct picture size for the loco file on there.
