Techny Cold Hardy Thuja Tree

My order arrived exactly on the date I requested and they were in good shape. I planted them a little over a week ago as per the instructions. So far, so good. I guess the real test starts now and will last about a year to see if they survive.

Nice addition

Only draw back is the trees were super root bound in their 1 quart pots. They were top heavy and fell over often. The trees themselves were very healthy and are very happy in the ground.

Cold test

I received my cold hardy Thuja this past summer, planted them right away and now it’s in the minus 5*. They seem to be doing fine. There is no yellowing indicating problems so I’m pleased. The winds are constant here in SD, so I think that the chill factor will be the real test. If they look good this spring, I’ll be buying more to plant along more fencing.
