Sound makes an excellent model even better

I missed out on pre-ordering a sound-fitted Pannier Tank, but was still pleased to be notified that a non-sound fitted version was available to buy. I was delighted to realise that I could buy a sound decoder separately, which really brought my LT Pannier to life. Simple to fit, great sounds; there's not much else to say other than I'm a happy customer.

Had some initial problems with the exhaust beats running approx. three times too fast. Not being a DCC expert I emailed Accurascale Support and they spent some time and effort in making sure I was able to alter a few CVs to eliminate the problem. The only minor issue I now have is that to have the firebox flicker working I also have to have the coal shovelling permanently on; this is apparently correct, but a little distracting. Other than that it is superb.

Easy to fit with good quality sounds. Only slight negative is no active braking (like you find on the Zimo decoder) and sounds largely disappear on deceleration and stay like that until acceleration applied, even when the loco has reached the lower setting.
