Still prefer the first gen
I'm on my third pair of these. The ease of stepping in, ratcheting down and going is unbeatable. I have a trashed pair of first gens that I love - they do not have the boa dial guard and thus adjusting the tension is easier and more ergonomic. The upper/tongue material was also less stillfd out of the box. These latest generation of Accomplice Boa are a fixture for me. They last around 2 years of daily use. Had to tie my busted boa cords together on the first pair. Sleek, stylish, efficient and convenient. My tiny complaint really isn't worth skipping over these shoes.

Accomplice BOA leaves a bit to be desired
I was initially drawn to these shoes because they look great and I'm a big fan of BOA closures. Price was pretty high at 170, but I figured I'd give them ago to try something outside of 5-10 Freeriders. I've got maybe 10 short rides in on these and the first thing I noticed is that the grip leaves a lot to be desired coming from 5-10's. On top of that the toe box on one of the shoes is already delaminating and peeling off despite taking no damage over the course of their use. I've put numerous pairs of freeriders through the ringer over the years and never had any issues with durability. I really wanted to like these shoes with all they have going for them on paper, but with underwhelming grip and poor durability I'm pretty disappointed with my purchase.

Easy, Stiff, Quality, But Could Be Stickier
These shoes are rigid and offer great toe protection and are super easy on/off. The only downside is that the soles lack the absolute stickiness of the 5Tens. Otherwise, great.
