Chester Pedals

Love them. I ride indoors with Zwift. I grew up on BMX. I'm comfortable riding flats indoors, but I do want my feet to stay put. I even use a beat up old pair of boat shoes as my riding shoes. Low-tech is the way to go. The Chesters destroy the soles, but that's sort of the point. The screws in the pedals grip the soft shoe, so my feet can't slip. If you used harder shoes, I'm sure they'd be fine. Sometimes it's a little difficult to micro-adjust my feet because I have to un-stick myself to reposition my foot. That's hard to do at speed. But that's the whole point of these pedals. My feet aren't moving unless I want them to! I've ridden hundreds of (virtual) kilometers, and never had a single issue. The stock pedals that came with my bike were magnets for household dust and hair. I could feel the watts draining away as the old pedals gummed up and stopped rotating freely. I had to clean and grease my old pedals constantly. The Chesters absolutely do not have these issues. Normal maintenance will clearly suffice. They look cool. They grip like a mad dog. They resist dust and hair. I love them.
