Peregrine Mk 4 frameset - paint blemished

I just built up my new Peregrine MK4. Other than riding it around to adjust the cockpit, I have only had time for one medium length ride. It is a beautiful bike, with beautiful lines. I am 5'10" and got the medium because of the high stand over height. It is just right, a large would be too big. The ride is pretty smooth and I will say the bike rides lighter than it is. I was a little concerned about the long chain stays but the geo is pretty nice. Over all it is a nice ride and feels lighter than it is. It also feels way more slack than I thought it would. I am sure that is going to be awesome on gravel descents. My only surprises are how heavy and stiff the bottom bracket is. I knew this wasn't going to be a light bike, but I am surprised at the weight. The only issues I had building it were the headset would not fit in the head tube because of the ED coating so it had to be reamed out a little. Similarly the tolerances on the bottom bracket are so tight it is difficult to change the rotation of the BB. I have a wheelset that will not fit in the fork because the drop outs are either too small or filled in a little with the ED coating. My LBS suggested that I use a small wire brush. It is close to fitting but either the fork or the wheel set will need some modification. I suspect I am going to love it, I just need a few weeks to get some hard miles in. The paint is a beautiful color but does seem a little fragile, almost soft?
