ama-iro is an awesome blue ink!

My favorite inks are in the dark blue spectrum such as tsuki-yo, shin-kai, and yonaga. I was looking for a lighter blue ink as a less formal ink and more fun color. I'm not a big fan of a lot of the medium blue inks out there, such as kon-peki or asa-gao, as I find them too harsh to my eyes when looking at a full page written with them. I tried many samples of blues and I really liked ama-iro. It still looks quite unique and it is very easy on the eyes. I also like that there is a little bit of turquois-ey shade in ama-iro. It's a great everyday use ink!
