My pop-up outlets had been installed for all of two months when my electrician repackaged something right over one of them and scratched up the finish. I was so relieved to be able to replace the cover instead of having to replace the whole thing. There are no instructions, but you just work a small screwdriver up under the edge of the existing one, pop off the trim, and snap the new one on.
