Chest sizing out for me
Overall quality seems good. Unfortunately I found the fit a little off. I’m a medium so that’s the one I bought after checking the sizing chart. The waist is fine but the chest area is quite loose when in a riding position. It seems to fold up rather than cling to you and it’s quite pronounced. I’ve not had this with other brands in their regular fit range. If I’d sized down then the waist would have been too tight. It’s not what I wanted but I don’t have the will to wrap it up and return so I will just save it for casual easy rides.

A no risk jersey that you won’t need to return for sizing issues
So. As years go by I’m no longer the lean mean cycling machine I was. And my cycling kit always seems to be that little bit tighter each year. Altura I can usually rely on to fit well, sometimes though this can change from year to year. Anyway, I have a good idea of what will fit and what to avoid with most brands. The current jerseys from altura are a perfect fit for me. They aren’t loose and they aren’t baggy. I’m a standard xl to xxl and the xxl is just a lovely fit that hangs well whether riding or off the saddle. I bought all 4 colour ways. Really nice choice of colours that are striking but in a flattering way, putting the dark shades to the bottom and the brighter at the top and all important visible pocket area. Beautiful material. A really great choice for all body shapes. If you want race fit and you’re a slim guy maybe size down, but it will be tight, if you’re a chunky middle aged man (me) then you can go for your own standard size for a race fit OR if you want a form fit that’s slimming then size up. 10
