Class 30 D5501 BR Green – Beautifully Detailed with Superb Sound
The BR Green on this Class 30 is perfectly reproduced and stunning in colour. The model is beautifully detailed throughout. Smooth running, excellent low-speed control, and the factory-fitted sound add real realism. A standout model from Accurascale and a must-have for any Class 30 or early BR diesel enthusiast.

Definitive Brush Type 2
In my buying experience - I'm modelling the transition period - the Class 30/31 is the current highpoint of the Accurascale locomotive range. I say this because the model has that hard to capture 'rightness' straight out of the box. There is nothing 'off' or questionable on first impression which immediately warms me to the model. All three of mine, one for the first run, two from this run have been 100% complete and intact straight from the box. Green Small Yellow Panel (GSYP) really suits these loco's and Accurascale have achieved a flawless finish that subtly 'pops' without being garish or unrealistic. A model is meant for running - I've no space nor budget for poor performers. These models run as well as they look. On silent DCC running all three of mine are mechanically silent - literally the only sound is that of wheels clacking over rail joints. They are very controllable down to an almost imperceptible crawl. Mine are all sound fitted, two with the class 30 project, one with the 31. Deeply convincing sound projects with real depth and realistic movement that matches the sound. On the heavy setting they really seem to be straining the way the prototypes do. It’s a very natural sound project too so left ticking over or at constant speed you don’t notice any sound loops. Only time will show how robust these models are but mine have collectively clocked up a decent total running time now without issue. The expression 'definitive' is over used but I think it properly applies to this version of the 30/31. There isnt a better or comparable model of this prototype on the market today and I doubt a better will be produced in 4mm scale for many years. Highly recommended.

Brilliant Brush!
A super model depicting a period in time which I remember well. The sound is brilliant - close your eyes for a trip back in time! An excellent model in every way. 100% recommended.
