I bought this rod for my son so he can fish for pike whilst we are waiting for the bite alarms to go off. The rod was very reasonably priced and even though we both have the utmost respect for Carl and everything he does, you get what you pay for, so if I’m being honest I wasn’t really expecting it be anything special. However, I can honestly say this rod is fantastic. It it has a great action, so you can easily flick a lure to where you want with acuracy. It feels really solid and really well made. As a comparison, my other rods are all Kaizen Greens and are nearly double the price. However this rod feels easily as good quality and is really well finished. I’m really pleased I bought it and it has instantly become a key part of our gear as a perfect rod to use whilst waiting for my next PB to bite. I would definitely recommend this rod and just hope the standards don’t drop in the future as so far I’m really pleased with all his products and this rod is definitely no exception!
