I am glad I took a chance

I was hesitant buying direct but after much research I decided to take a chance with Orangewood. Purchased their Oliver retro and I was surprised that it is better than advertised. Quality build, set up is great, and customer service is as good as the guitar. This is my first review of a product, but I feel that fellow players should know about this fine company.

Oliver Retro

I did quite a bit of research on budget guitars and was about to purchase an Oliver when I stumbled across the Oliver Retro which I love even more. I prefer the spruce top aesthetically. This guitar is everything the reviews say it is--a quality product at a great price. It looks great, feels great, and sounds great. My only complaint is that it must have been a beginner who finished this particular guitar. There are splatters in the finish in several places on the body giving it a rough texture in spots. I am looking online to see how I can remedy this situation--steel wool or sand paper or something. I also wonder if I was sent the wrong gig bag. This gig bag is for a dreadnought body. Not that big of a deal if there is no gig bag for the grand concert shape. I have a dreadnought too. Anyway, other than an amateur finish job, this is a great deal. Thanks for a great product. Love the Oliver Retro

Nice looking and sounding guitar, great price. I like the size of it. It was set up nicely ready to play. Might change strings to a lighter gauge because I am a beginner, easier on the fingers. Very happy.
