Nice tap, installation is a pain

I like this digital tap. It functions well and not expensive to run, using about 0. 6 kw per day on the boiling water. The installation wasn't straightforward unfortunately. The pipes and cables are not long enough so you have no option but to fit the unit directly under the tap. For me that meant changing all the waste pipes. When I finally turned on the unit it came up will a E4 error which indicated an internal sensor failure. In an effort to clear the error I pushed the hot water start button 3 times and the error magically disappeared. I've no idea why. It's been fine ever since. I've also fitted a Tapo energy monitoring smart socket so that I can set a schedule to turn the unit on and off. Unfortunately I do have to push the start button to get the water boiling when the power goes on, but that's better than having to remember to switch the unit off every night. So the tap and unit are good, the unit would benefit from longer pipes and cables, and the operation could be better but all in all I'm happy with it
