Excellent Fragrance
A beautiful daytime, everyday fragrance with pleasant, not too sweet fruit and floral notes with a touch of aquatic. A nice moderate projection and light silage.

Midnight in the Fields
This is not a blind buy, nor is it for beginners. It reminds me of Encre Noir by Lalique, but much better and lighter. It took me a few days to understand the scent and appreciate it for what it is. When I was a kid, we had a fig tree in the back yard. When you break open an almost ripe fig, there is a white sap that comes out. This fragrance has a slight sweetness like that aspect of an open unripened fig. If you have walked through greenery after a rain, and broken the twigs and leaves of a wet tree, the scent is soft, and bitter. When I was young, we used to sneak on the golf courses and talk about life. Often the sprinklers would turn on and the scent of wet cut grass would waft through the air. Babylon reminds me of that. It is the soft and bitter scent of wet green leaves and newly trampled moist grass, with the faint sweetness of an open unripened fig hovering over the entire scent. fresh, green, dark, misty and bitter sweet. Much more complex and lively than Encre Noir, this fragrance shows the craftsmanship of Alexandria's products.

Love it. Very unique, a little musky, hard to describe but amazing. Never had a cologne with fig and was skeptical at first but it is amazing.
