Ordered walking boots for my husband

I have dealt with Northwest Territory in the past ordering a pair of walking boots for myself so I was more than happy to order a pair for my husband. The boots are of good quality and mine have lasted years and still going strong. My dealings with the company have been second to none with them keeping me informed with delivery etc I rate this company highly.

Breaking them in

It's early days but these boots appear to be a bargain. This is the 2nd set of boots that I've purchased from Nothwest Territory and that's confirmation that I like them. I like the fact that the boots come complete with a Bag & a spare pair of Laces, that's a nice touch. I'm still breaking the boots in and my only criticisms are as follows: 1. the lack of arch support. The first thing I did was to purchase inserts just to provide additional support & 2. both pairs rub at the heel. I'm taping my heels to reduce that rubbing & I'm hoping that as they get more wear this will cease to be a problem. OK, that's the negatives out of the way. I still love the boots and looking forward to a long term relationship with them ....

Good Value for money

This is my second pair, which speaks for itself. I wore my first pair out in 2 years, wearing them 4 days a week for a 3/4 mile walk in the morning. For the price, these are a good boot. But I find the tongue gusset to not be waterproof, so if you stand in water which just about covers your foot, then you get wet socks. I found the lace holes (eyelets?) to be a bit rough and they wore the laces readily. Although the boots do come with a spare pair of laces. The new pair of boots, which I have just bought, came with two pairs of laces, but both were thin laces, like those you would have on a shoe, rather than the thicker boot laces. Also, the laces were too long on this newer pair.
