Simple Rules, Fun Strategic Gameplay

Had a lot of fun playing the scenarios. The rules were very simple and each scenario played quickly. There is a good amount of strategy and I liked how the action card system worked. It made for some good choices on when to play specific cards.

Fun, quick and simple battle game

If you've played Battle, cry or battle lore you and like Star wars, you'll love this game. It's pretty much a reskin of those games. The components are great for the price. I'm some unit expansions or possibly other battlegrounds in factions that can be mixed and matched.

Fight Epic Battles Over Echo Base!

Based upon the tried-n'-tested platform of Richard Borg's Command & Colors system, but set upon a smaller board to encourage fast engagements and brutal fights, Star Wars Battle of Hoth is an excellent adaptation that will satisfy the tactical appetites of many Memoir '44 and Star Wars fans alike. Each player has access to three classes of units from the scrappy Rebel snowtroops to the Empire's awesome AT-AT walker, who combat each other with dice, cards and use terrain to their best advantage. Each player has a deck of command cards, which can be supplemented with a special set of Leader Cards that provide unique options and capabilities and remain thematic to the well-known Star Wars characters. This is a great addition to the Command & Colors system, a deft adaptation of Memoir '44 and should satisfy even the most ardent of Star Wars fans seeking high-intensity tactical gameplay.
