I am in zone 7b. Hot, humid, mild winters. Every pest exist here and overwinter: borers, aphids, Japanese beetles, Oriental fruit moths . . . This growing season I have used Kaolin clay from the beginning, generously coating leaves - both sides - and stems. I have had squash vine borers drop dead and fall out onto the ground! Kaolin clay has kept my tomatoes flowering in sweltering heat, since it also protects plants from heat damage. 2-3 coats early in the growing season, within 10 days will protect your plants. Does not harm flowers, leaves, nor crops.

Works

I used this stuff with a Husqvarna pump sprayer and it worked great. Haven’t seen a striped cucumber beetle or a Colorado potato beetle since. Doesn’t bother the bees at all as they show up everyday on the flowers. Very impressed.
