Mongolian Giant Sunflower

No luck for me

I was excited about these, never had any success.

Love this Giant Sunflower

I've been growing these for years now and they never fail to amaze us by their size. Not only are they beautiful to have in the garden, but we also harvest, brine, and then roast their large seeds, as well - as long as we get to them before the squirrels do. I highly suggest netting the flowers before they get too tall to reach. My kids look forward to eating the seeds every year.

The Mongolian Giant sunflower seeds germinated quickly. It will be fun to see how they mature.
