Outstanding Loram Class 37 - Let Down by Assembly Issues
I have to say that visually this is one of the most striking Class 37s ever produced. The Loram livery has been beautifully applied, the detailing is superb, and the factory-fitted DCC sound is excellent. The slow-speed performance, lighting functions and overall presence are everything I have come to expect from Accurascale's Class 37 range. Unfortunately, the quality control on my example has let the model down. Straight from the box, the cab entrance footplates are a real disappointment. On one side the front footplate beneath the driver's door has detached completely, while the rear remains in place. On the opposite side, both footplates are missing altogether. These are prominent detail parts and their absence is immediately noticeable. After looking at other owners' experiences, it appears I am not alone. A number of purchasers have reported exactly the same issue, with cab entrance footplates working loose or falling off shortly after opening the model. That suggests this may be an assembly or adhesive problem rather than an isolated fault. That is particularly disappointing because everything else about the locomotive is first class. The body finish is outstanding, the Loram livery is one of the best modern liveries currently running on the network, the sound project is excellent, and the running qualities are exactly what I would expect from a premium £290 locomotive. This could easily have been a five-star model. However, at this price point I expect every detail part to be securely fitted. A premium model deserves premium assembly standards, and this example falls short in that respect. I hope Accurascale review the fixing method used for these footplates because the underlying model is genuinely superb.

Another winner from Accurascale
This loco looks and sounds wonderful.I particularly like the cold start functioning has no problem pulling whatever wagons you put behind it.The low speed running can be so slow you have to watch if it's actually moving looking forward to some long running sessions !!!!

Overall another good product from Accurascale. This one had to be returned as one of the brake chains was loose. But very easy to start a chat and get a return postage label. Locomotive received back all repairs done and within 2 weeks. So overall very happy
