Only one of the seeds didn't germinate (and of course I planted them all as I have had other things that didn't germinate as well, so I have a whole crop of coleus now! They are growing great. Very happy with these seeds!

Unique coleus!

Germination was good, but probably through my own error (watering) I lost a few starts. I liked how the pelleted seeds came in a small vial to avoid crushing. It's a bit pricey since there's only ~15 seeds, but is worth it for the gorgeous foliage. The colors and pattern are like no other coleus I've seen for sale around me. They did great in part shade during the hot central Texas summer. They are blossoming now (Nov), and the purple spikes make dramatic cut flowers that last up to 1.5 weeks. Bees love them too. If you remove leaves at a node (i.e. branching-off point) and submerge that in water, it will eventually root (just like basil, etc), propagating a new plant. I am trying to overwinter one plant by bringing it inside as a house plant during the mild (but chilly) winters. I'll see how the plant outside fares vs. that one. Hoping it will reseed :) But either way, I will start some of the leftover seeds for the spring.
