Heater Won't Stay Lit

Heater must be run at Hi in order for pilot flame to stay lit. Manufacturing flaw on vent pipe required grinding to fit together properly and calls to the vendor for advice were unsatisfactory. Installer finally got it done, but the comments from him were that it wasn't well made. The heater keeps the 400 sq ft cabin space comfortable in -10 C and warmer Spring conditions. Attractive, quiet.

Great heater ,this is my second one

My last one lasted about 7 years, and I didn't know some of the maintenance that was required in the first few years and probably could have made it last longer if I had. It performs exactly the way that you'd expect, it is effective and worked great for years, the only downsides I would give it is that the electrical igniter never worked properly for me and I frequently had to take the glass face paint off to turn the pilot light on and there really wasn't much in the way of Maintenance instructions or videos as to how to keep it clean and operating in peak condition. You really do need to open it every year and clean it out properly for it to continue to function flawlessly
