Martin 20,000 BTU Direct Vent Propane Heater MDV20P

This may be a small unit, small but Mighty! I had this installed 10 days ago and i love it in every way. The temperature outside has been -20° to -30° and my fuel usage for 7 days was 5 L. My old wall furnace used double. This has kept my temp inside at 20° c easily. The dial is only at about 1/3 to 1/2 . I do have approximately 600 square feet so i use fans to circulate the air. So simple and efficient - I love it! Awesome unit.

Well made unit, but installation painful.

Overall unit looks good, seems to be well made, and heats as described. Installation leaves something to be desired. First, mounting holes are not spaced so that screws go into framing @ 16” OC. And there is no reason they couldn’t, someone just didn’t consider it. Hanging this fairly heavy unit on drywall anchors and using spacers is not an easy task. There should also be a better air seal between the intake tube and plate, and the plates are sized so there is no room for error. I would still recommend this heater, just be prepared to fiddle with the install.
