Plano 3449 Series Small StowAway Tackle Boxes

Small size & great price created a perfect asset for this artists supply backpack!!!

As both an artists & as the wife of an avid fly fisher I LOVE these little boxes. I found these boxes by accident while my husband perused tackle boxes, but make no mistake, I now consider these an essential part of my artist repertoire when pastel painting. In each 5 compartment box I can store 20+ sticks of pastel, or nibs for pens, and blades for linoleum cutting tools-I could go on! Each box represents at least 20 whole sticks of pastel-or $80 of materials safely protected from breakage & easily transported out to the field for painting. I love the small size and the fixed compartment spacing! I now store pastels by color family, without breaking the bank. Plus, when at home I can easily store the stackable boxes in the studio cabinet, and grab out the exact color family I need for a pastel painting. Hubby has also used several for his bits & bobs of fishing gear, in his professional carry bag for office supplies, and for a small first aid kit. The small flat size makes for easy organization of small pieces, the see through plastic is durable. The Plano brand has a great firm snap closure, too. I've tried off-brand boxes that look the same but they just aren't as durable.

It lives up to it's name - small!
