I have no problem throwing large spinnerbaits and buzzbaits for river smallies because they can easily devour multiple 6-12 inch creek chubs at the same time. However, there are days when “power fishing” with big baits just isn’t working so I recently updated my selection of Pond Magic buzzbaits and spinner baits which have a smaller profile but can still be thrown with a 3 inch trailer. Let the fish tell you what they want… then be prepared if less is more!
