A55 Smoothing Plane

Lovely tool

It’s such a joy to just to pick up! The plane fits beautifully into my hands and is so nice to use. Can’t wait to get it onto the next big project.

I was about to cry and now I am happy

I was working with some old, very hard wood (species unknown) that was really giving me a hard time. I now have a perfect finish with this plane. Still takes a good amount of effort but I certainly see the benefits. I can now start on the remaining 8 boards knowing that the result will be just as good.

Smooth planing

First time ever with a wood plane and in all honesty can say it feels like a new hobby. The plane is beautifully crafted and engineered, and just glides over the workpiece producing super smooth finishes. Can’t see me going back to metal bodied planes again, this is just so much fun to use. Thank you.
