Smoothing Plane

Think this has been said before but the fit and finish of this plane inspires me to do better work. There is some beautiful figure in the wood. It is also the finest and most reliable smoother I’ve used, and I’ve used a Bailey style no. 3, no.4 1/2 plane, an infill plane, and a no. 62 style plane. Changing grain direction is not a problem with this plane. The hammer adjustment is quite intuitive - I had no trouble getting the thinnest shavings I’ve ever gotten from any plane using this technique. This will be an heirloom! Thanks very much.
