This pattern was easy to sew and Oh so cute!

Cute but didn't like how it was constructed

It's a cute pattern. I made it for my 2 1/2 mo. granddaughter. I assumed since the instructions were out of VFT's norms of enclosing the waist seam with the bodice lining, there must be a good reason for that, but I'm not so sure. I don't like having the raw seam against a baby's skin, so I sewed a strip of lining fabric over the seam. Also, by sewing the ruffles to both the main and lining fabrics it pulled the inside and puckered. Just not how I'd like to finish a garment. I noticed the shoulder seam is forward, which seems odd to me, for a baby garment. I raised the neckline because I don't prefer such a low neckline on a baby. If I make it again I'll have to make alterations to the construction to make it more baby friendly. I DO appreciate VFT always stating the design ease expected in each pattern! It really helps in fitting.

Adorably Sweet

I used this pattern for an Easter dress for my 8 month old great granddaughter. It turned out better than I expected! It's absolutely gorgeous! It was a pretty easy sew. The directions were very clear. Love all my VFT patterns!
