Great Resource for Starting Notaries

This book covers it all. I feel very prepared starting as a new notary.

Good overview of process but not exact for states

I am glad I read this and think it will be valuable for the big picture of the notary's role, functions, and processes. The chapters on usual situations (such as minors and capacity) were very helpful, as was the chapter on checking ID. Throughout there were generalities that may not apply to all states, so it's not enough by itself to be a notary's sole guide. But it was not meant to be, so I think it accomplished its purpose well. Just warning readers not to think it's all in here. Also, clearly written and well organized.
