The Vanishing Point replacement nib unit in fine works like a charm. I bought it to replace the extra-fine that I ordered with the pen originally. The extra-fine works great but is not ideal for my big, loopy handwriting. The fine is perfect for me and I like the smoothness. I’ll keep the extra-fine for accounting and recording statistics. It’s easy to swap them whenever you want.

I love my vanishing point pens. I find the med and fine nibs are inconsistent with regard to ink flow. If I could have tried before I bought I would have gone with fine instead of medium.

People say it's scratchy but once you break it in it's smooth and the best, finest extra fine nib you can get.
