Conklin JoWo #6 Steel Nib Unit - Black

No better than original nib

I bought the black JoWo#6 Conklin replacement nib unit in medium to replace the troublesome one that came with my original Conklin All American limited edition pen. The original fine nib has always been plagued by dry starts and skipping. I thought the replacement JoWo unit would fix all that but, alas, it does the same thing. I have two newer Conklin 1898 pens with the Omniflex nibs, and they work just fine.

I'm not exactly sure why, but this nib seems to feel so much better than the other Conklin JoWo fine point nibs I have. Maybe it's because it is a replacement and they are somehow done differently than those already mounted in pens? Don't really know, don't really care - It works wonderfully! Am incredibly pleased with it.

Nib for a Conklin All-American

New nib for a Conklin All-American. My husband wanted to try an extra fine nib on his Conklin. It was packed well and arrived quickly. He is using it for drawing and penmanship practice (along with other pens from Goulet Pens).
