Highly Appropriate Name

Love this deep rich blue! On my second bottle, reminds of deep Pacific or Scandi waters while on a cruise or deep sea charter boat. Runs slightly dry for me, but dries quickly and very saturated color.

This was my first Robert Oster ink purchase and I'm smitten. The color is similar to Noodler's 54th, perhaps a little more blue, while 54th is slightly greener (at least in the formulation I have). I test my ink in a Pilot Metropolitan with a 1.0 mm stub nib or a Lamy Vista with a 1.5 mm nib. The ink is well-behaved and dries quickly. Based on my experience with this ink, I ordered more samples of Robert Oster ink. Then I ordered full bottles. All excellent.

Beautiful Ink

I purchased this ink on advice from Goulet Pen Co (excellent advice, part of the amazing customer experience!) and it is beautiful! The colour is a deep blue/black with a hint of green (I think) and it suits it's name. It writes quite wet and can bleed a little in some papers but it's lovely and smooth and gives a clean and consistent line. This ink has very good environmental credentials too. I grew up surrounded by the great southern ocean, so in a way it reminds me of home too. Wonderful to use.
