Noodler's Blue Eel - Ink Sample

Terrific Ink!

Blue Eel is a lovely true blue shade that is very nicely saturated. I like color and don’t like watery inks, so I am very happy with it. It flows well on good paper and it works ok on copy quality papers, just some bleed through on the cheaper paper. I bought both this ink and Noodlers Blue samples to see which color I’d like better. They are quite the same color. I’ve since learned that Blue Eel is a lubricated ink which is supposed to good to use in piston pens. Brian Goulet has a video on the various properties of Noodlers inks. I have now watched it and learned a lot! For reference there is also a chart on the website delineating the properties. Both the Noodlers Blue Eel and The Noodlers Blue are excellent inks. Great color and problem-free writing in my pens.
