This is my first time using an ink that professes to be “fast drying”. What I’ve learned, after some initial disappointment, is that it’s all relative. Is this ink objectively fast drying? Not really. But compared to some other inks, I do think it is indeed fastER to dry. Example: This ink dried faster on Tomoe River than my Sailor Ink Studio ink. It did *not* dry faster than the TWSBI Blue, however. I suggest buying a couple of samples to ensure that you’re actually gaining something while using your pens and your paper. I don’t think it’s wise to objectively conclude that this ink dries faster than whatever it is you have on your writing desk currently. You just need to try it out. All of that said, this is a gorgeous shade of blue. Heavily pigmented, it reminds me of something that Noodler’s would produce in terms of saturation. There’s even a tiny bit of sheen. Not much shading. Conclusion: Don’t expect a miracle, though you may see an improvement depending on your experience. Luckily Goulet Pens sells samples which are a low-cost way to simply try things out. Overall the ink color is gorgeous.
