Noodler's Purple

I bought this sample for my wife to try. She was not a "fountain pen" person, but this purple in a Lamy Safari fine nib beats any ballpoint purple on the market.

It is not the color I wanted, not quite as pure and bright as I had hoped. Wrote smoothly. New Ahab pen. I'm not sure if I did something wrong but the ink kept leaking out into the nib and getting in the lid and I ended up dumping it out. I used the Ahab portable cartridges for the first time. I had used the pen with Blue ink first and did not have problems but maybe I did something when I cleaned it out to put the purple in. I am glad I could try sample size first.
