De Atramentis Aubergine - Ink Sample

Such a beautiful color

It's as pretty as you think it is

This is one of those inks that makes you stop and take a second look. And then a third. Let's start with the color - it's gorgeous. I happen to like the way it looks on Midori MD paper particularly well. I think this also is an ink that actually looks better from a fine nib because the more ink that flows, the darker it appears on the page and this one can get too dark if you let a lot of it flow onto the page. Ok, enough. Stop reading this and just buy yourself a sample already.

De Atramentis Aubergine

Not an expert user (yet) but was just smitten with the subtle brownish purple color and beautiful flow of this ink. I had to go buy the full bottle - hard to find. Apparently De Atramentis Alexander Hamilton is the same color. I’m a fan of colors that stand out on the page, as this does, while still being complex and a bit moody.
