Twsbi Eco, Diamine Dark Forest, and Goulet Pens: The perfect combo
This whole experience was better than I could have imagined! Ordering my pen and ink was super easy, and all the tools and pictures available were so useful when deciding the right colors and nib sizes. The package tracking worked very well, updating almost daily to let me know where my package was, and it took less than a week for it to arrive. The Twsbi Eco and Diamine Dark Forest ink arrived beautifully packaged with a nice note, tips to get the pen ready, and a sucker candy from the Goulet Pens staff! The Twsbi Eco writes so smoothly, it’s almost impossible imagine. It looks so gorgeous with the Rose Gold Nib and accents on the translucent black primary colors. It writes consistently and has never skipped or had a hard start (compared to the Lamy Safari I got from a different company which struggled to write). If you’re thinking about getting the Twsbi Eco, I say GET IT. It’s AWESOME! The only complaint I can think of is that the twisty on the back for filling up the pen feels like it could twist easily in a pocket or when holding the pen, potentially causing ink to leak out of the nib. I haven’t had that experience, but it just seems like something that could potentially happen. Also, I think the Twsbi writes a bit broader and wetter than Japanese pens, and even a bit broader than my Lamy Safari, because the Twsbi’s Fine nib line width is around the same size or larger than my Safari’s medium nib. This isn’t a bad thing, it’s just something to note. I think the fine nib is perfect for me and writes super smoothly while still being precise. The Dark Forest ink is awesome as well! It writes perfectly between wet and dry, so it never skips and writes consistently but also dries quickly. The color is perfect for my use: professional-looking and easily passable as a dark color to be turned in to teachers for homework, assignments, etc., but it also has a little bit of dark green-blue character that you notice while writing which makes it super fun to use! I can’t recommend these two products and Goulet Pens enough, it’s all been perfect!
