Diamine Silver Fox - 40ml Bottled Ink

Gorgeous Gray

I put the ink in a Safari Vista Black, medium nib. The combination is great. Very smooth. Silver Fox flows well, shades nicely, and dries quickly. This ink is neither bluish, nor greenish, nor is it greige. A perfect gray, resembling graphite, as another reviewer said. I find it easy to read, not at all too light. It looks very good on white paper and also Leuchtturm 1917 paper (cream). I wrote a sample on an Office Depot glue top tablet – I've found that paper to be mostly fountain pen friendly. I cut out a piece, and after about 10 minutes of drying, soaked in in water for a little over 10 minutes. It spread and lightened a bit, but is still very readable.

Another Diamine Winner

I won’t go over all the specific characteristics of the ink that are available in multiple other locations. But Lexington as a permanent and Silver Fox as a washable are my two favorites. The Fox has plenty of presence to be easily read. No…it’s not too faint. I use it in my TWSBI Eco (Cement Gray Ltd Ed). It’s a PERFECT pairing.

Great grey ink!

This ink flows smoth on my Kaweco Lilliput, the shades are great and the visual sensation of pencil graphite is incredible.
